So I got a response from raceprovenmotorsports and they said higher gears numerically technically dyno lower. These guys should know. No further details because it was a YouTube response and I’m sure they don’t have the time to respond to everyone

I have heard that also but I think its more dyno dependent on if its going to be lower with higher gears...….. and heres a article with some guys who know what they were talking about...… https://www.eng-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=91122 so you see it varies and mostly because your shifting through the gears faster when measuring and more prone to slip IMO... but hey its this that and the other thing.....

Buddy of mine just put 3.91s in his L99 SS. It made the same as it would have with the stock gears.
