I don't even need the extra brake light, as far as I'm concerned... Anyone seen a spoiler already on the market that's been designed fairly closely to the ZL1 spoiler?
I think the issue is in the installed height of the ZL-1 spoiler.

Once you're tall enough to block the third brake light, you're supposed to include one integrated into the new spoiler solution.

On my car I swapped out the original spoiler for the one off of the convertable. As far as I am concerned this looks a hell of a lot BETTER.

Sure. I get that, and my ideal spoiler is still that of the ZL1. I'd just rather not modify my deck lid.

Agreed that it looks better than stock, but I want a spoiler that's taller. I had initially planned on getting the SLP spoiler that was available to the mass market. Maybe that'll still be the route I take.

The convertable spoiler is Wider, Thicker, and TALLER then the stock coupe spoiler.

Looks like this is a Win Win for the non spoiler Camaro's

For the SS crowd NEW holes need to be added, and some need to be Filled in.

here are some pic's:
side by side pic

pic showing holes NOT covered.

and one with ZL1 Spoiler set in place.

So. I had to add 5 holes and will be removing 3.(filling in)
Wiring will also need to be addressed for the 3rd brake light.
So does the spoiler not come with the required connector for the 3rd brake light? The blade wing spoiler has an integrated light as well. It simply connected to the line that supplied power to the original light with a connector it was supplied with.

No, the ZL1 spoiler does not come with the connector and it also has a male connector on the light end. A new harness needs to be made for it or bought through GM. I had my rear deck lid off last night to just tap in and lengthen he wires but no joy
