So if your paying $35,000 a year in propety taxes thats $2917.00 per month just in taxes not too mention a house payment. So yeah I find that difficult to beleive.

We only have about a foot and half on the ground, but I would take another foot if we could get 20 degrees in temp to go with it. We've had one morning in Feb above 0 and a only a couple of days out of single digits. It is supposed to hit a balmy 22 today, then 5-6 the next 2 days.

Still call bullshit on those taxes... multi million dollar homes in NY I see are tops in the 4K range. Tax records are public info - post your statement...

I did also read Westchester median tax rate is 10K still a long way from 35K.

Where in NY? I'm in central NY in a house assessed at $145k and my property taxes are $4600/yr. A friend has a $200k house on Cayuga Lake and pays $15k. There are $600k homes here with a view of Cayuga Lake taxed in the $15-30k range. If there are $1M+ homes in this state with only $4k in taxes, they must be in places no one wants to live.

WOW - I'll have some ketchup with my crow... Those amount are insane. I pay $3600 a year on a 750K home in Cali - thought that was high....
