Its YOUR choice. BUT FIND a G8 GXP. I personally WOULD NOT be happy with a regular G8 GT. I drove one and though it was nice, the car didn't feel very quick.
If you trade your AWESOME Camaro in for a used GXP, then GO FOR IT if you need a real back seat. Its A GM, its FAST, its BEAUTIFUL, you WILL LOVE IT. BUT PLEASE don't get a G8 GT. GXP ALL THE WAY. I love that car, if I had the $$$ I would have one parked next to my Camaro. GOOD LUCK. |

Everytime I hit my head, I feel as though the car just gave me a kiss for bringing it home. I really do love this car. It is the neatest car I've ever owned and I'm in my 50's!

Maybe your head is too big after driving that fine machine.

I was considering a G8 before I decided on my Camaro, but after the test drive I was convinced it was not the car for me. It was a really nice car, but sitting in it and driving it felt like I was driving a family sedan (not a bad thing, just not for me). And even though the G8 I drove was a V8, I swear my V6 feels faster and is a million times more fun to drive!
If bumping your heading getting in is your only issue, I agree with what others have said -- learn to duck better. I'm only 5'2" and I admit when I'm not paying attention I hit my head getting in too occasionally.

I'd only switch if you used the back seats alot.
Like many have said, just learn to duck better. Damien |

If you want a G8 I say go for it. I'd have a hard time giving up the Camaro for one, but if that is what your heart is telling you to do, then I guess it's the right choice for you. Good luck with your choice, it's not an easy one.

Just depends on what you want.
I hear ya on the space..my two biggest gripes on the Camaro--no head room and I am only 6', and no usable back seat. The G8 fixes both. Looks are either way, the G8 isn't gonna get the attention though. Performance..well its a toss up between the V8s. My G8 GT went 13.1 with CAI and Tune. GXP is a nice choice if you want an LS3 and an auto.

I have a GXP and absolutely love it. A friend at work has a GT and there is a very big difference in performance and handling/ride between the two. The GXP is really an exceptional car.
I drive mine daily and while I usually change cars every year or so, I am still very happy with the GXP. My sister got a 2SS RS Camaro last fall and it is very nice. I like the styling but it is a very tight fit for me, and the lack of room makes it difficult to have as an only car. I wish I could afford both, but unfortunately life is full of compromises. I am still mulling over getting a 2SS next fall, but it will be very difficult to part with the GXP. |

I'm 6'4, I just tooled around until I found the perfect settings for the seat, mirror, etc and have NO trouble at all..Of course, I DO duck a little while getting out, like I've done with every OTHER car/truck I had...

G8 will definitely satisfy any need for speed you might have also... Gonna be alot quicker than your LS, and much better equipped.
If this seems like the better way to go, then POST PICS

Does your camaro have a sunroof? I know from talking to a few dealer the sunroof loses you a good 3" . I know I am 6' and have no headroom problems in mine.
