Still, stock Camaros have run 12.5 in the qtr mile. I would be very disappointed if I got 12.4 out of a 90K vehicle. This is a huge issue for many here. It's that simple. I don't need an engineering degree to tell me something ain't right. Again, I love the car, but the performance is simply not there.

I'm guessing he means low "12s" and I have this feeling that he is being very conservative with that "12s" figure, as he would wisely do. Exaggerating the time, even a hair, would lead to the loss of integrity. And I'm pretty sure that's the whole point of the OP ............ "the Integrity of the name Callaway".

I'm not gonna look up the price, as most of you didn't either (you just took the $90k as the truth). But I do see a market for this car...

Camaro + Callaway + (someone with the money, but not the time) = Owner of a Callaway Camaro

In the video at the beginning of the thread, the car ran 12.4 in the 1/4 mile.

I love it how people compare different cars on different days from around the country and say "oh stock they run 12.4's" Yes on DR's, with mine shaft air, and perfect conditions you might pull that out once or twice. Its NOT a mid 12sec car.

Ive seen the new Camaro SS's run mid 13s. That must mean SS's are a mid 13sec car.

Dare I even say there are cars running 14s out there. Are Camaro's now 14 second cars?!

Get real... Take your buddy's car, fill the gas tank full and run it on an 85 degree day with street tires at normal pressure. Then cry when he runs a 13.60 or better yet come back and report on it.

Its not my car to run.

Your inability to understand the post isn't my problem.

I just checked the fast list...there isn't a 12.4 on this board in a stock car. Wonder why?

There is a 12.5 stock, yes who knows the conditions. All I can comment on is what I am being shown. If the car is faster then lets see some defense from the maker. It's 90K+ car for crying out loud. You gonna be happy with that performance?

The car no doubt should be running faster than 12.4. I don't know why it didn't. Maybe Edmunds driver really sucks. I saw 90K and 12.4 and I freaked out a little. Obviously the car is capable of much more. Nice car, not trying to say it is not and this will conclude my part in this thread.

Maybe there aren't as many guys like myself, though, who completely enjoy doing my own research and have the skills and shop to do my own modifications to a very high level for half the price.

I will admit the satisfaction of doing it to my own cars doesn't give me the cool factor that comes with your 'badge'.

Sorry, doing it right yourself makes it COOLER than some terrific company (that does awesome work impeccably) being paid to do it and you get an extra badge, man that badge adds weight!!!! OMG.

Chris,
Is this the same car that Callaway made as the Hendrick 25th ann edition (which is limited to 25)? If so way then why is the Callaway price $92,000 when Hendrick in about $76,000. I will never be able to afford either one just woundering.

Actually, I do not understand. But then again, it's the internet... I posted the article written by a set of journalists and our product was picked apart by those who probably didn't read much, if any of the feature.

It is always interesting to see/hear of those who put out their opinions on the internet, as if they ARE the authority. Maybe, in an effort to level the playing field, folks should post their qualifications. Reading something on the internet and hoping it works, does not make one an engineer

I respected you and your company until i read this, wow, aren't you egotistical. I have read the full article, as i am sure most of the forum members here did, and your price is still bullshit from my perspective. i have a masters degree in English, as well as analytical software applications. How ever, i require no "qualifications" to comprehend, interpret data, and be cognizant of my personal convictions on any given scenario or topic, in addition i know i have the right to express those opinions should i so choose to do so. Oh, and yes, i AM the authority on how i perceive and express anything. You should be aware in my opinion you disrespect the forum members here by not taking a little constructive criticism for just that, so some individuals expressed they thought the price to performance was a little off, i do not see that as "picking it apart". Grow thicker skin or you may offend even more potential customers than you already have.

The main difference between this car and one of the 25 HMS/Callaway Camaros, is the addition of our optional brakes and multi-adjustible suspension, adding to the price.

I hope this helps

Fair enough - hopefully, we can work together on something down the road
