There is absolutely NO REASON anyone should walk out of a dealership without the 6-digit confirmation number. They all use the SAME OrderWORKBENCH system.

Sat down with dealer on 10-11 and the dealer had no clue. They put my order in on Monday with a $100 deposit. Got my order confirmation on Thursday 10-16. They said they had an allocation of 9.

They faxed me the detail today.

83% ordered SS? How many of them would have got a Z if it were availble. It's clear that many of us want the power that has been missing for so many years in an affordable american car. Are you seeing this GM???????????????????????????

Yep ordered today, first person to do so at my dealership, not first in line however as there are others maybe 1 or 2 that were on the list before me. It was actually the best experience I ever had at a dealership, the sales manager and salesman I dealt with were knowledgeable about the car and getting Msrp in writing was easy unbelievably easy. I can't wait, this is probably going to seem like a longer wait than the last 2.5 years.
