Before this generation, yes there was a reason to dog the V6, it was the economy model mainly for the women.

Now the V6 is truly a very good Camaro, while the V8 is even more powerful.

i can see why there is hate on camaros by vettes. but in the end vettes are king.

Tell them 'jealousy is an awful disease, so get well soon bitches'. Seriously though, people don't like when you take away from there attention or prestige. My dad practically runs a corvette club...most are genuine car enthusiasts. When I told them I ordered a Camaro...there was nothing but love from most of them. But there are a few who give snobby remarks. "Why don't you just get a Corvette? lol" Umm because I wanted a Camaro.

Whatever...haters gonna hate and Slaters gonna Slate. Cue the picture....

I like Camaro's and Vettes. Hell one of the people in our group owns an 03 Z06. He loves my car.

Just jealousy or envy for something that looks just as good if not better.

I think it's becuase the Camaro is taking the spotlight and Corvettes, though still special, always have been. And though they are our Chevy siblings, they are waay more expensive too, which only adds insult to injury! :(

So I can see a typical Corvette owner being a bit miffed. Heck I would be too, especially if I just paid upwards of $60k+++ for a car and another one half the cost one-upped me on new design and retro-new-sport whatever you want to call it coolness!

Oh btw, maybe it is also as OP says where many more do show up at shows - or at least get more visibility due to the new styling. What I say, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. One call to BeckyD@RodgersChevrolet.com and they will be all set!

I have had similar experiences. I have never noticed hate from Corvette owners. When I see them on the street they usually give me a thumbs up or smile and nod but never hate. There are a few that don't give any reaction, but I just assume they don't really give thumbs up and just pay attention to driving and/or listening to the radio or whatever. But no matter the ride, there are always Haters. My thing is, hey if you love your car, who cares what others drive. As long as I got mine.

Hmmm, I always like to see cool cars, no matter make or model. And I usually give them a or a nice nod or something (even some mustangs)
