I know I'm a little late, but I'm ordering mines this weekend. The warranty sealed the deal for me.

My 02 anniversary edition was murdered a month ago by a wreckless mechanic.

In case anyone has the "well my payment is more than 500$ question"

"25. What happens if my monthly vehicle payment is greater than $500?

The maximum benefit is $500 per month. If your monthly lease or loan payment is greater than this amount, you would be responsible for paying the difference."

No, it means that if your car shows up at your dealer between Apr.1 and Jun. 1 (until we hear otherwise) then you absolutely are eligible! its those of us like me, who just recently ordered, may or may not fall in the window...

ordered Camaro

I was 1 of the first 10 to order my Camaro, in Bakersfield. And I was told GM would call to make sure the car, color, wheels, etc was going to be what I wanted or if I wanted to make changes> Has anyone else been told this or does anyone know for sure.... Thanks

I don't buy this for one second. After Obama demanded Wagoner step down I wouldn't touch a GM product until the guberment backs the F off. They represent a greater threat to the company than anything Wagoner would have done.

If it helps GM I don't see a problem this but it seems like a minor gimick to me.

Just to make it easy, I'd be more interested to know what the costs of all these incentives equals in dollars. Take that figure, deduct it from the price of the car and I'd be a happy man. The hell with all the rest of the gimmicks.

Minor gimik? Hardly...this erases any reason why someone WOULDN'T buy a GM due to company stability issues. Now saying "I won't buy a GM because they won't warranty my car if they go under" is no longer valid because the US Govt. is now backing those warranties.

I also saw in the new commercial advertising this program that GM will now guarantee trade-in value if you choose to trade in your car sometime in the future.

This is probably the best thing that GM could have done to entice people to buy cars.
