Modifying YOUR Camaro
Although I'm kind of rehashing a few of my previous statements, I wanna hear what you personally plan on doing to your Camaro.
For me, I'm going to turn it into a road racer. Plenty of stuff to add to it. Start with an LS3 and a 6 speed, slightly used to save some bucks Engine work - Probably a bore and stroke, new heads, more aggressive cam, better air delivery Brake upgrades, along with stainless lines Coilover suspension Better LSD maybe, depending on the factory one (if there is one from the factory) Lightweight hood, trunk Lightweight forged wheels Yank out some heavier items, such as rear seats, possibly A/C too, some sound deadening Chromoly roll cage and seats with a place for racing harnesses Chassis stiffening parts and a tubular k-member New exhaust system, maybe some new headers Stronger clutch, lightweight flywheel, lightweight driveshaft It will be a work in progress, but I have big plans for it and plan to keep it a very long time. Trying to get the weight down and make it a complete package, not just a strip monster. Anyone planning on some mods? |

I'm not gonna do anything to mine. It'll stay stock for a long time. Unless I feel the need to blow it. but that'd be it.
This has to be a 'daily driver' for a while, and then it'll be promoted to weekend warrior. |

Thought about this one for a while
1. Flowmaster super 40's - i LOVE the sound of these, new tips, possibly remove the fake chrome exhaust pieces and add nice large SS tips, or SS dualies 2. Suspension - Lower the car a bit, get a bigger beefier swaybar to improve cornering 3. Stereo Upgrade - Prolly leave the stock deck, dont want to mess with the flow of the interior. But new speakers all around with a nice 4-500 watt amp(RMS), and 1 to 2 12inch subs in the trunk with a dedicated amp as well, again in the 4-500 watt region (RMS). iPod/mp3 player input 4. New intake - prolly a 7-9inch cone if it'll fit, i love the extra roar you get out of the engine because the cone muffles the sound less then an airbox |

Now, 5 years down the road, when I finish paying off the car, then I may throw in some mods, if I don't decide to just get a new one. |

+1
But I'm keeping mine for a long, long time. Like, "until I die" long time. ![]() No racing, but plenty of track time...er...fun time. |

Oh yeah, I'm never replacing this one. If I get a new Camaro, it will be in addition to this one.

I like the hugger orange with black stripes on the conv. I want that paint scheme on the coupe, and i saw the clip on the test drive of the silver coupe and it sounds perfect to me, but if they change it for some reason it will have to be flowmasters and hope that its true duel exhaust

Not to be picky but the vert concept has charcoal stripes. Black stripes would take away from the look a little bit imho. I like the not quite pure black color. It blends a little more and makes the color scheme seamless. Straight black would make the stripes stand out and take away from the overall image.

My first Mods
As soon as I take delivery I'm going to Summit Racing for Flowmasters Series 40 exhaust system and the top of the line 1"-1.5" lowering kit. Then I hunt down the billet grill with the hideaway headlights.Window tint is a must! After that I was considering the Lamborghini door conversion. I don't know about that one though.

I think I've changed my mind, a bit
...right after the warrantee is out - I'm going for an STS Twin-Turbo kit...assuming they make one for our car.(they should make it...they've covered 4thgen f-bodys sooo... )EDIT: Oh, and they won GM's 2004 SEMA Design award: Best High-Performance Product |
