Yep, put an ATI on it.

Looks like TSP has taken care of the refund on the 24th of July -- GPI is working to send it to me since I purchased and had them install it. @ least TSP was on it quickly...

The ATI pulley has been solid so far -- no hiccups @ all. I chose it this time because it can be rebuilt -- which is nice...

Just an update:

Still waiting on the refund. Been a while since this whole thing started. I know accounting/refunds can take a while, but I sure would like to put this behind me. Ryan from GPI contacted me on Friday to see if the refund has come in yet so @ least he is on top of it...

Having delt with finance most of my career, that tends to be the way it goes. Its always harder to get refunds than make payments. Like I said, Ryan @ GPI has been on top of it, so I'm sure he'll ask GPI accounting what the status is and if its not processed yet, why...

Thanks, but in reality, I'll be taken care of when I'm properly refunded. So far, I've done all the 'taken care of' in order to get up and running. That is just the facts of it. I had to get my own pulley, tools, etc. since it was not possible to take the car back to GPI in Arkansas. GPI would have gladly replace it for me, but getting the car there would have been more than buying a pulley and tools.

In order to get a replacement pulley, I had to send the pulley to TSP so they could 'validate' the defect. TSP did refund GPI (instead of sending a replacement) quickly, as I found out, on 7/24 -- after I sent the pulley back. Even when I was down and waiting, I still didn't get a replacement pulley or a refund in any reasonable amount of time. I provided pictures and video to prove it was defective and my need to get a pulley ASAP. I was even willing to pay the difference between ATI and TSP price.

Needless to say what I had to do was finally just get the pulley on my own. That took JDP Tyler to help me out. He got it to me quickly and was able to get it up and running. As they say, pay to play...

With all the delays and having to do all the leg work, I was glad to know I was still capable of doing the physical work again after all these years.

What the experience has taught me is I'll need to deal locally just in case this happens again -- which I don't 'expect' but then again, I didn't 'expect' the pulley to go 3 week into owning it with just daily driving. Sometimes 'out of sight' can play a role in delays...

Your right don, we have done a bad job on handling this promptly. I will get it sorted tomorrow.

Like I said, you, Ryan, have always been on top of it. As far as the work you performed, top notch -- no two ways about it. What's let me down is 'after' the failure and the length of time it has taken. I always look for how one is treated when things don't go right. That is the ultimate testament.

What I have to take into account now is, IF another failure were to happen after the set of work I want done, and it was a more 'expensive' item, what should I expect?

I do know this, anyone who has you work on their car can expect the best -- I'll attest to that. GPI, however, does need to step up their game though for customer support. That's been my biggest disappointment and I'm sure that will be taken care of going forward. In the grand scheme of things, my situation was such a small thing to actually take care of and in the long run, has changed how I'll do upgrades in the future, which is truly a shame.

Well, this saga has finally come to a conclusion. GPI sent the refund and that is that! Thanks to Ryan for staying on top of it for me.

Now, I can move on and get more mods going! Next up ABL dashboard lights, a 'dyno' to test out the SOS coils (to see if the really add power -- they did help the throttle response!), and the 4 wheel alignment due to the suspension mods..
