73 LT
My first car was a 73 LT. I loved that car and had it about 4 years before selling it, I sold it around 1982 and haven't had a car that I loved until I brought my 2010 SS. I started thinking about my old Camaro and looking at pictures of guys cars on this site. I was wonder what options came with the Camaro in 73? I had a 3 piece spoiler in the back and one under the front. I had a 350 with the aluminum valve covers with the open air cleaner with the chrome top. The car also had the gray colored rims but they were in a box and the guy I brought the car from had SS cragar's on it. The car also had a posi rear. I'm thinking the guy ordered the LT and ordered the Z/28 engine with the spoilers?

If it was a Z28 it should have Z28 badging on the front fenders, grill and rear spoiler. LT badging would be on the sail panel. It sure sounds like a Z28, did you look at the cowl tag?

It was probably a z28. Thats were the grey wheels come from, along with the valve covers and the chromed air cleaner and the spoilers. Either that or someone tried really hard to clone a z28. Sounds like a nice car. We have a 73 LT with no z28 or anything. Fun car.

I just googled the 73 Camaro and found out you could combine the Z/28 option with the LT model. I guess thats what I had. Guess who knew?

Do you remember any z28 badges on the car? If thats what you had, then you had a pretty rare 73. Any pics of it?

It sounds like someone just added all the extra parts. It's very easy to do. We have been thinking about adding a low spoiler to our car( with a different trunk lid though). That is my guess but I could be wrong
