not sure but will that really make a difference? i think if i was dead serious about dropping weight in the car i'd go all the way and get the back seats taken out or something like that

Braille (Summit Racing sells) makes a 15lb and 21lb battery. I have the 21lbs, Doc has the 15lbs. No problems. Stock is 45lbs.
So it will save you 25 or 30 lbs, which is significant when you are looking at your overall weight-savings. Padre |

Optima. They are used in Porsches for that reason.
You might want to consider lighter wheels. Unsprung wheel weight can also have a significant improvement in speed. Porsche even used aluminum lug nuts that weigh next to nothing. |

Unless your trying to set an NHRA Super Stock class record, it's a waste of money. You'll spend thousands of dollars to lose a couple hundred pounds. And driving around the street will still feel exactly the same.

used in circle track racing w/ race style alternator (not sure what it charges at) but I think this would help cut 25-40 lbs off the car |

That 150 lbs alone is worth ~0.15 in the 1/4-mile which matters to some. ![]() Padre |
