How many trips to the service dept.?

My car is about to go back to service dept for a water leak and of course the top issue, so my husband decided to look at all the invoices to see how many times my car has been taken to the service dept. for all the issues we have had and it has been in 9 times since March. Some of those were multiple times for the same issue. That is down right crazy for a brand new car. My car is one of the early ones made, as I pre-ordered it in January and picked it up on March 16th, and I expected a couple of issues, but this has been ridiculous!!

WOW,..... Hope it works out for you. I'm going through top issues as well. I am guessing that the majority of the Camaro's problems that we are seeing are top issues with the vert? Is Ford having these kinda issues with the tops of their Mustangs? I would hope not since the Mustang has been the same for a lot longer time.

I got my 2012 1SS on 8/4. So far I've had it to the dealer 3 times soon to be 4. Ist had a hole in the seat at 100 miles. Rear window regulator right now. New top next week. And I'm waiting on a call from the dealer I bought it from to fix the paint chipping off the doors. All this in 6 weeks.

4 times, 5 shortly.

Ac recall, top rub issue, dents on delivery, window alignment issue, top noise, and air bag sensor (awaiting parts).

I don't have a convertible but 27,000 miles and over 2 years, 1 trip. Paint peeling off rear bumper. An early issue with many cars.

Its a shame they've had so many issues with the tops. Bare with them... hopefully they will get it. Its such a nice car when the top is down!

My service visits:

1- Yellow stains in exterior paint (clayed the car)
2- top wear marks, passenger restraint light - no fix, told to come back in a few weeks
3- top wear marks, passenger restraint light, tanneau disconnecting (different dealer) - validated the probs, scheduled appt for repairs
4- parts in, back for repairs, also a/c recall
5- back to dealer/trim shop for excessive wind noise
6- engine bay discoloration, replacement tanneau in. Verified engine discoloration, scheduled appt
7- engine bay repaint
8- top disconnecting from frame, rear window clicking, door handle cable broke, parts ordered
9- in for 2nd new top, tsb and #8s repairs

I'm right there with ya! I guess you could add my 3 trips and $300+ at the tint places for the original, and each additional tops tint replacement as a service visit, since its their fault... at my expense.

Still no fix for the pass. restraint light. It works randomly. All I know is its well documented, even w GM, so if I get in an accident and it doesn't deploy- I will own GM. And I'll personally replace all our cars!

Engine bays still discoloring; come to the conclusion that its a white clear coat issue. Haven't put the top down yet, so can't comment on the marks... wind noise is still a factor tho. All other issues were fixed.

I've taken mine in once for the AC but that was it. I have noticed however I started hearing a squeek in the top when it is up and I go over bumps; also when I make a left turn backwards or forwards there is a groaning underneath like something is rubbing the frame, I can feel it vibrating thru the floor. At this point, I'm having more fun with it than I would without so I will have it all taken care of before she goes to bed for the winter.

2 service visits. Once for an oil change arund 1,500 miles and second time for top replacemenand AC recall. Since they're so close to home, I've stopped in a few times to check on GM top issues.

Honestly, besides the top, no other complaints. Keeping fingers crossed....

Have only been in for an oil change. I do need to get the AC recall done but I have barely used it as we have the top down on most sunny days and we have not driven it much on rainy ones and when I have used the AC it has always worked. I guess I have been somewhat lucky with the lack of problems
