Two Stories: History lesson & Not all Mustang guys are bad...

Today's stories

This morning I when I was out recycling, ( since I drive a V8, gotta offset my contribution to pollution somehow) I filled up my SS at a gas station. An older gentleman approached me at the gas pump from inside the convenient store. He was really impressed with the new camaros and asked how I liked the car etc...

I was showing him the car and the door sill that said "Chevrolet". He said that he used to restore older camaros and that theirs would say "Body by Fisher"... Thought that was a cool little history lesson.


After the gas station, I was cruising home showing off my new smoked out tail light covers ( just installed yesterday from Phastekperformance.com), when I saw a a black 2005 mustang GT behind me closing in.

I was already feeling the tension of a race coming up before he got next to me at a red light. The light green but we never "floored it". Instead we exchanged engine revs while coasting in neutral ( fun to do at ricers ).

I couldn't tell if this guy was going to be a jerk or not but we ended up at the same parking lot. When he got out, I said I liked his car and he came up and shook my hand and he said the same.

instead of a Camaro VS Mustang "fight" it was a mutual "hey we got muscle cars and that's cool"

Long story short, it was cool to see how driving a camaro can make you meet (nice/friendly) people you never would before .

I was driving up the highway one day and came up on a gal about my age with about my permagrin driving along in her dark blue mustang. We stopped at the same gas station up the road a ways and admired each others cars. Both happy with our personal choices, but also both ready to compliment each other for a very nice car!

Fieros had the "body by fisher" on the door sills also. I have a few of those tags laying around.

Had that happen at a light, I had a red 2011 GT pull up next to me gave him a thumbs up, he gave one back and we went in opposite directions, All i saw was a peace sign as he went off, was pretty cool.

It's not the car the makes some people a-holes they are just born that way whether they drive a Camaro,Mustang or challenger IMHO

Almost, if not all GM models had 'Body by Fisher' emblems on the door sills until the mid-80s. They gradually went away as models were redesigned.

I could've sworn mine said "Fiero." It was an '85.
