Change Oil Now Or In The Spring
I have 1000 on my 2012 2LT. Going to store it for the winter. Should I cange the oil now or when I get it out next April.

Have you changed it yet since you bought it? If not, I'd probably change it now. If you already have changed it, you're probably good until next year.

No I have not changed it yet. I figured that if I change it now it will collect moisture over the winter and have to be changed in the spring.

At the same time, though, being brand new there is a lot of metal in the oil from assembly and break-in. I personally would want to get that out before it sat for 4+ months. Then I'd probably change it again after a month or so of driving it in the spring.

Question about this -- Having changed the oil before storage, should I change it again in the spring or run it with the oil from the winter storage?(it has Mobil 1 )

There is no need to change the oil unless the car is started during storage.
