Dealer refuses to fix PDIM connectivity problem
I've been having connectivity and readout problems with my car since the day it was purchased. Been to the dealer four times for a fix. Last time, I showed them PI0055B (which clearly states part number 22797219 fixes the problerm). They refused to order the necessary part before I dropped the car off, causing me to make two separate service trips. Then they ordered and installed the wrong part (part number 20927509).
I still have the same problems (loss of connection, missing data, etc). Scheduled the car for service next week and requested the correct part part number. Service writer Scott Bremer starts drilling me on "where did you get that information?" (the tsb). He was more interested in how I was able to acquire the document than in fixing the problem! Got a call from Scott shortly after scheduling the appointment (and faxing over the documents). He says he talked to GM and that that they confirmed the correct part number was installed; refuses to order/install 2297219 (a known, documented fix!). Says I just have to live with the problem. I think not. Looks like I'm gonna have to make a run over to Missouri in order to find a Chevrolet dealer who is actually willing to fix the multitude of known problems with this piece of sh!t. I wonder; why does it seem like these guys just don't want to do warranty work (on known issues)? All I want to do is get all of these problems fixed so I can sell the car and be done with the aggravation. |

That's why they can ram these extended warranties up their exhaust. They don't even treat the basic warranty properly.

I would try a different dealer for sure. Then I would send their management an email stating that you are not happy with their service and that you will let everyone know how bad they are. Send them a link to a thread where it warns people not to visit them.
