who says South Dakota winters are bad

So after being in the garage since October, I took her out today… Cruise around town running errands. Hit just above 50 today and supposed to be in mid to high 50s tomorrow… Last year this time there was an inch of ice everywhere and 6 feet of snow in my yard.

We have been blessed with a mild start to the winter so far. Only a dusting of snow, which will all melt tomorrow with temps in the 40s. About time too. Here in southern Wisconsin, the last 4 winters in a row have been worse than average.

We're getting the same thing down here. Hopefully the winter is just late.

Winter doesn't start until the Winter Solstice on Dec. 22. We have a long cold Winter ahead of us!

In Northeast Ohio winters usually here in Nov., Here we are with Dec. almost shot with pretty good weather. Jan. and short Feb. and we'll be out of the woods weatherwise.
That winter solstice business doesnt always apply. Tell those in Pa. and down the Eastern seaboard it isn't Winter yet !!!!

I'm just saying that Winter officially starts on the Winter Solstice and ends on the Vernal Equinox. You can argue that with the astronomers if you like.

pretty mild here in north central WV. here in the mountains we still have some snow but it has been pretty lite and sparce thus far. can't bring myself to drive it since the road crews have started spreading ashe on the roads. Salt is soon to follow. will resist the urge!

Put a few miles on mine today - all back roads and only drove the speed LIMIT once! The car just wanted to run!

Washed, dried and reparked now. LOVED my battery recharge!
