Center console gauge package
My dealer told me that with the 10, and 11 camaros they could install the gauge package after purchase but the 12 camaro you can't. Anyone know if that is true? I would assume it is because otherwise I'm sure they would make the money to install the gauges, but wanted to check with the experts here. Thanks.

They could have finally changed the wiring harnesses so that you get the gauge harness with the packages they are intended for. I know that many people skipped out on the packages and just added the gauges for a few hundred bucks. This is on the 2010/2011 models of course.

OP: No that's not true. They are either trying to upsell you something or they don't know what they're talking about.
http://www.phastekperformance.com/GM...s-92247189.htm ...and everywhere else sells the same gauge pack for 2010 through 2012 |

Someone will hopefully chime in that has done it, I've read a bunch around here that have... I might eventually. I thought I wanted the gauge cluster til I had my car then it didn't seem like a big deal any more... I kind of like that extra place to set 'things' and the little mat where the gauges 'would be'.

Try taking the console side cover off on the passenger side & see if the plug is there,if it is I would say you could do it. Just my opinion. Most dealers don't know as much about these cars than the people on here do.

I already bought the car so I'm not sure they were trying to upsell. I'm guessing they just didn't know what they were talking about???

Anybody take their console apart in a 2012 to see if the plugs are there?
