Anybody getting your deposit back?
Anybody have experience getting their deposit back for a canceled order? I have decided that I no longer want to be tied to all this uncertainty by my $500 deposit.

You should be able to get your deposit back no problem.
As long as the GM plant didn't start production of your car, that may be a problem. |

Darn 3400 means it is broadcast... I maybe waited too long...if my dealer and GM go bankrupt then I really would have paid $500 just to be a participant in the Camaro marketing survey...Those guys from Wisconsin are laughing me now

No. Just because GM is going bankrupt, doesn't mean they are going to stop building them.
Go get your check before they start building your car is what I would do!!! GOOD LUCK!! |

Do you really think the dealer would have any trouble at all selling that car? Get your money back.

If you're at 3400, just wait it out... it won't be much longer!

i a gm at Jackson Chevy...
I am a GM of a small store in central IL and we just got our display car. We don't have a choice on what we get. Unfortunely in this area we all get the same one...2LT V6 silver RS ebony leather...why I don't know. The deposit is the dealer's responsibility not GMs, so if they can't get the car you should get it back.

I finally had enough. I found a perfect 2008 GT500 convertible locally today with 580 miles on it and bought it. I've been waiting 2 1/2 years for the car and now its built and might never get out of the factory storage lot. Anybody wanna buy a set of IOM mudflaps/quarter extensions for $150 plus shipping? Brand new in the factory box....
PS..this GT500 screams compared to the SS. But overall, I liked the Camaro a little bit better. But for nearly the same price and a factory warranty on a supercharged car...well...the rest is history.

there has been another thread that the canadian government is pressuring GM and CAU to get a new agreement in place to get some money from the canadian government. right now it doesnt look like a problem but could possibly be one. if a new deal isnt in place it COULD cause a shut down of the camaro plant. |
