Squeaky top
Took my vert in last night to have "insulator kit" installed, replace window seal on door and try to fix the dip on top over driver side between 1st and 2nd bow. Insulator kit is to fix that nasty squeak coming from the back around 5th bow and rear window. Gets worse with heat. GM knows thats a problem as there is a TB out on it. The dip on roof appears to be caused by a section of material that puts tension on canvas. This is coming apart thus causing dip. They will probably just put some glue lol.. But I will update if squeak goes away and dip. Sorry I didnt post pics of dip.. but Im sure some of you have it..

Ok, I got my car back and no squeaky top
On the dip, I was told that everything is properly attached to top. Not much they can do since it doenst have any support there. To just push up on canvas to remove dip. Which it works but still..

Got the same nasty squeak, esp. when hot out in the afternoon.
I'd love that TSB number.....anyway you can call your service rep and get the number? I like to have these things before I got to Chevy's crappy service depts. |

That squeak does get worse when its hot.. I will contact my service guy and see if I can get number from him. Sorry to hear the service dpt at your dealer sucks.. My has been great, I have actually used them for over 10yrs. But mainly for extended warranty repairs. Otherwise its too darn expensive for me, if I can fix it will do it. Anyway I will let you know if I get number..

I'm having the same problem and the squeak is REALLY getting to me.
I'm bringing my car into Chevy next week but the service guy told me on the phone when I made the appointment that "squeaks are really hard to find." That leads me to believe that theyre not gonna do much for me so I would LOVE to get that TB# so I can show the guys exactly what my problem is and prove to them that other people are experiencing the same thing. One more question... if the car is still under warranty do they charge for the insulator kit? Thanks

I had that squeak in my 2011 vert and after a little investigation I found the source. It is possible there are more sources than this one. In my case if I bumped the 5th bow with my hand I could make it squeak. If you lower the top just slightly you will see that when to top is fully raised the 5th bow comes up and stops against a rubber bumper on each side. The bumpers rest in brackets on the bow. The squeak I had was those rubber bumpers rubbing against the brackets when the top would shift. To verify that was the source I put a tiny bit of silicone grease on the ends of the bumpers and the squeak disappeared and never came back. Give it a try
