45th Wheel change....

Just wondering if any 45th owners have put different wheels on their ride? Been thinking about changing myself, just wanted to "see" what they would look like.

P.S. tell what kind of wheels your rolling with. thanks

I'm I the only one to see Dwongger's first photo and say....what the heck is that tailfin doing on a car?

And on second look - where did your fender badging go??

But here is what a plastidiped wheel with Glossifier looks like. Have one more rim to do before I can take a full body shot. Yes, my baby is pampered...I won't let her sit on a stone freezing cold floor in the winter. LOL

+1

I'm thinking gunmetal matte but undecided on the wheel.

I had been considering whether or not to glossify my wheels... you have just convinced me!! Looks SO GOOD!

How many coats of plasti-dip + glossify did you use?

THANKS

Also for comparison here's plain ol' flat black plasti-dip.

Yes...it does look awesome! Can't wait to get her out of the garage and into the sunshine to see what it really looks like.

Used 5 coats of plasti-dip and 3 coats of glossify. Just wondering if I'm spraying too thin though. Have 3 wheels done and still working through only my second can of of plasti-dip. I guess if worse come to worse, I can rip it off and start over.

Not my car. But I thought it was appropriate for the thread. Belongs to forum member "Montducati". Forgestar CF10's.

Only two cans?? Looks really good! I used a can per wheel, 5 coats. Started out really light and progressively put on thicker coats. (I wanted to make sure there was enough to hold up and not get scuffed up with normal driving)

Once it warms up I will buy another can or two and go back and touch mine up (when I took them off for the winter I noticed I didn't do so great a job on the insides of the spokes) and put on some gloss! Can't wait!

Thanks. They are heavier than stock and can be a PITA to keep clean, but after opti-coat the brake dust rinses off easily. I kept the OEM's for long road trips.
