people dont want to mount my tires
so i got a set of niche targa rims from Best Wheel Deals and i went to 2 national chains that said they wont mount the tires because they cant guarantee they ont scratch them. The guy at the one place told me it is impossible to not scratch the rims!! Is this true or am i dealing with total hacks? thanks in advance

I've had a couple places tell me basically the same thing. You're better off finding a performance wheel/tire dealer, or a performance shop, that is accustomed to dealing with high end wheels. They have the equipment and training necessary to keep your wheels scratch free. You will pay more, but it's worth it in my opinion. Or....if you really trust "Billy-Bob" down at the local Tires Plus.....

Try a "Rent and Roll" type place....LOL
Seriously though, they will have the high dollar "no touch" mounting machines. And they are used to mounting difficult situations..I/E Dubs etc.

Look for places that have a no touch machine... they can do the job and do it right!

I'm in Alaska and we have no greta performance shops that I know of that deal with wheels. I'll be getting some forgelines soon.
So if I call around, what is the "no touch" machine? I wonder if I called like the local BMW or Mercedes dealer if they would do it? |

I bought a 2013 2LT RS Camaro back in July and had to have both passenger side rims replaced due to damage. Rim damage all around the extreme outside of rims and was showing rust. The exact type damage I used to deal with back in the day when I replaced factory wheels with aftermarket due to the way they were mounted

Took mine to Rodgers Chevrolet. Assuming all chevy dealerships have machines for just this purpose you may want to check out your local dealer.

The typical tire shops wont mount anything over 20" or really high end wheels. The best thing to do is find a custom shop.
