What size speakers in the 12' SS/RS Convertible? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I am going to be replacing all the speakers and amp in my 2012 SS/RS Convertible and want to know what size are the stock speakers in there now? I have the BA sound system and I believe there are 9 speakers, but Im looking to improve the sound all around and want to know the size of each before I start ordering new ones...any help here? Thanks!

I just replaced mine. In my 11 SS vert. Man what a mission.. In the vert wire are run at different Hz.... Size Fronts 6.5 rear 3 ..... Had to cut and make custom rear side mount. Will be posting pics soon.. I went X X X... Alpine 17 pro front 17 ref rear, one type x 10.
Amp m110 and pdx f4.... All I can say is I should I have got radio replace.. I went with lcq1 from audio control.... Had to hook up to rear as when you turn up front sound bad... Help as I need more bass

Front 6.5
Front Tweeters 1"
Center 1 3.5
Rear 6X9

For the vert you will have 6.5" speakers in the doors with 1" tweeters. There is a 3.5" center speaker, but I would just disconnect that if I were you. In the back you will have 2 3.5" speakers on either side. These are connected to a high pass filter. Behind the rear seat is a 10" subwoofer. You can buy a mount to replace the sub from www.********.com.

I myself have replaced everything except the 3.5" speakers. You will definitely need to replace the amp if you want better bass.

To sum up you have:
6.5" X 2
1" Tweeter X 2
3.5" X 3
10" subwoofer X 1
