Sirius/XM Reception
Is there anything that can be done to improve the reception on the XM.
Compared to my wife's Chrysler 300 the reception in the Camaro is terrible.... I like the XM but hate the reception.. Help..... |

Had the same issue but not just with the ZL1, also in the Equinox and the Silverado, however mine was related to trees in my area. Would drop the signal out on a regular basis in certain areas. It was bad enough that I cancelled my subscription.

A "reboot" / signal refresh might be in order.
I've not had any problems with XM reception unless I'm travelling on roads surrounded by tall trees.

I haven't had any issues with my XM radio except for the last week, it now loses signal easily and hadn't done that before. There may be a problem with the system.

I gave up on Sirius/XM as well. Living in Southern Oregon, I would lose the radio signal more times than not.

If you drive mostly on the interstate it is fine. But in a Vert with the antenna on the trunk you lose signal in the shadow of the tree. But I will keep it. Did a 2k trip and it was great to listen to classic rewind the who way.

I have XM in all my vehicles and the Camaro is definitely the worst reception. Like said above with the antenna on the trunk were doomed to spotty service.

I think it is a GM issue. I have a Sirius aftermarket radio with just a magnetic mount antenna (have to tune to a specific station to tune) in my 04 Silverado it works perfect in my area.
Trees, bridges and buildings have no effect. I get in the Camaro and all it does is fade in and out and loose reception....I cancelled it.

I would be happy to assist in a resolution for those experiencing issues with their XM radio! If you would like to try to reset the signal, please call 855-697-3373. If the signal reset does not work, you may call XM Radio Listener Care at 800-852-9696 for further assistance. If even further assistance is needed, I would be happy to schedule a dealership appointment for a diagnosis. Please feel free to send a private message at any time!

Jessica, I appreciate your offer. Cancelled my subscription becasue it didn't work well enough to use, always cutting out on streets around my house. Not going to pay for that.
Don't want to spend money to reactivate and have my dealer troubleshoot, but thanks anyway.

It sucked on my conv also, I also let it expire. But it doesn't stop them from calling 100 times to get you to reactivate.
