ZL1 order complete, shipped, on truck, why is it taking so long?

I realize that I am as impatient as a 5 year old on Christmas Eve, but I was just wondering why it was taking so long for them to truck my ZL1 from Jessup, MD to Northern VA? I got notified by the dealer (they have been absolutely GREAT, BTW) that the car was picked up by a truck on 6/3, and is not at the dealership yet.

Here was my thinking:

The time to travel the distance from Jessup, MD to the dealer DIRECTLY is 1.5 hours.

I assume that there are 10 cars on the carrier (that's generally the case).

If it had to stop at 9 other dealerships (my car then being the LAST car offloaded), each dealer was an hour away from each other, and they driver would have to wait an hour for the car to be offloaded, that would be 19 hours until he was AT my dealership. Then an hour to off load. Then 2 hours for new car prep. That's 22 hours.

Okay, the guy has to sleep. Let's add 8 hours on for that. 30 hours. In my math, that means AT WORST should have been delivered last night!!

Anything I'm missing? Honestly I don't know how this stuff works, so I am curious.

Anybody else do the same math waiting for their Camaro?

I'm just really excited about my new toy...

Mine came from MO to PA and it took forever! It just seems to take longer than it should, but probably depends on how the truck was loaded and what stops are before you. It will be over soon, enjoy the new car!

Depends on the dealer information. They could be incorrect or given bad information. The car could still be at the rail yard awaiting a truck or any number of other possibilities.

When I was getting mine, I decided to take the car that was "in transit" as opposed to ordering exactly what I wanted. The car status provided to the dealer was the car was loaded on the rail car and in transit. Three days later, the dealer called to say the status had changed and it was still sitting in Oshawa awaiting shipment (cold tire issue).
