Picked these up today!
Let the fun begin. I finally settled on seats after researching the Sparco EVO 3 (too large and trouble with fitment in cars). I also looked at the Status Spa adjustable (no dealers in the area to physically sit in the seat to confirm fit).

How in the hell are you going to get out of those? No offense please but I have a hard time getting out of my car with the factory seats and they are not the recaro's.

Looks great! Post pics when you get them in. I was looking into racing seats that would be "easy" to swap in and out. Those look nice! Granted, I'd have to use the Jaws of Life to squeeze my fat ass IN those seats! They look really narrow, are they?

How about the airbag sensors?? I would like to swap my seats figured losing the OEM capabilities isn't worth it. By the way OP, those are nice seats.

Isn't the air bag sensor only on the passenger seat? (I'm asking for selfish reasons... My thought was when I take it to the strip, remove the seats and replace only the driver's side with a racing seat like above).

Mmmm. Idk I would think u also have a sensor on the driver.. But maybe I'm wrong. What if someone hit ur car while parked, would the air bags deploy on the driver's side?? I doubt it.. But honestly don't know..

I have legs that are long enough, I'll be fine. The Recaros are very nice as they are a factory seat. I sat in them(Z/28) and for my frame they do not offer enough side bolstering in the shoulders or legs. |

I have a plan and it will address the logo. It was cheaper to just buy the seats and modify the logo than to order set with a custom logo. These seats are from England so it would be awhile.

I was expecting some grumbling but honestly really don't care what people say when they see them as I am using them for track purposes and needed a seat with support. I have already put a dent in my center console from having to use my knee thru the left handed turns! I will address the logo at a later date. I have used this brand of seat (Cobra Daytona's) before although they were in my 96 Mustang Cobra that I used for track days. Seats with proper structural support help immensely when cornering hard. They are a well constructed seat with Kevlar backing. Sparco uses fiberglass which is heavier and is not as strong as Kevlar. Last edited by ZL1-V; 07-08-2014 at 10:33 AM. |

I also bought some Cobra seats, leave the logo alone. The Cobra is where it should be, behind you. Good looking seats.
