Bird Poop on Car :(

Any recommendations for the least harmful way to get it off? I don't want to damage paint. Thanks

I would like a picture please to see what we are dealing with. Mine looked like this and I soaked it and hosed it off!

Get it wet - spray some water. Or, I use some detail spray. Once it's wet, it will come right off non abrasively.

IMO (and I may be totally wrong) the first priority is to get it off, because that's more corrosive than any cleaner you may use.

I tend to pour seltzer on it (because odds are that's what I have in my car, because I'm drinking it), then wipe it off with a paper towel, then some water, then head to the car wash.

Ill use the windshield washer fluid at the gas station if I have to , with a paper towel.

Bird poop needs to be removed the minute you see it, and avoid getting your car pooped on if all possible. Do not park under trees or power lines.

Do not wipe it off....bird poop is not only corrosive but abrasive....it can scratch the paint.....hose it off. If you must after it's soaked gently blot it with a clean wet rag.

This was what I came outside of work to find - luckily it was raining so it was a lot easier to get it off but I swear the birds purposely wait until my car is in the parking lot to let loose their berry infused crap.

My biggest fear is getting the crap on my canvas, I'll be shooting every bird in sight if that happens. All you need is some water let it soak then wipe off.

I bought an orbital polisher. If you don't get that crap off right away it damages the clear coat. Takes a couple of passes and looks brand new

After you clean it off, rub some wax on that spot.
That stuff can stain.

Yeah... but do it NOW! It won't take long to eat into the paint. Go. Now. Do it!
