Owners Manual Packet Holder? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey, my plates are in, and before I pick them up, I wanted to see if anybody has an owners manual packet folder, holder, case, or whatever you want to call it. I didn't get one, and I find it odd the Camaro doesn't come with one.

(Dealer folder thing doesnt count)

It doesn't come with one. Chevrolet Cars haven't come with them for a couple of years. It's a cost thing.

A lot of the GM cars are not coming with them. I am sure it was a bean counter that said" look at the money we can save"

If they gave me one I'd use it, but they didn't so I don't. I really don't care that I don't have one. Maybe you could use a zip-lok plastic bag if your really concerned about protecting it?

OK, thanks. I dont necisarrily mind not having one, but it would be nice. I just dont want to be jipped if they were supposed to come with one. Thanks!

Nope all I got with mine was a paper envelope. My Silverado and cavalier came with the nice black leather look ones but not the Camaro!

I got one from my dealership too. The dealer took it out of another car that came with one. I thought that was nice of him

The dealer did a similar thing with my RX~8. So during the predelivery inspection I noticed a scratch on the rear bumper. Well i was having a spoiler added so they said they would fix the scratch when they painted and installed the spoiler. Well I got the car back and in the sun the bumper was obviously BROWN, not black.

So i took it back and the tech is like "hey whats wrong" I said come look at my car, he steps outside where I parked it so the bumper would be noticable, he turns around and walks back in. He sayd to me "thats brown" UMMM yea. so he give me a loaner and calls me a few hours later and says my car is fixed.... OK how? So I ask... and I quote "We took a black bumper off a lot car and switched them, hopefully whoever buys that car wont notice" OMG!!! Worked for me but...

And all I got was a ziplock bag... also

GM stopped giving those out sometime after 2003...Envoy has a leather portfolio, Malibu has a ziplock bag.

i got one too....but its called a ziplock bag holding all that stuff in them there photo graphs
