Tuned 14/15 LFX owners....questions
First...was it worth it? Did you actually feel a noticeable improvement?
I have a 15 with 5k on it. I love the way it runs right now with my bolt ons and plan to add a few more things like down pipes and such. I just hate the thought of losing my power train warranty 5 months into owning the car. Yes, I know they have to prove blah blah blah. I just have a dealer who is like that and already got pissy when I had the 1LE suspension installed So, not talking numbers. I'm talking/asking, was it worth it. Did you actually feel a change in performance? Throttle response? Thanks all I have an appointment for a tune Friday, just starting to get cold feet.

I'm also interested. I'll have all intake/exhaust bolt-ons in a few weeks, and the next step I'm considering is a tune...but I want to makes sure it's worth it.

2014 1LS, got my tune from Matt @ FSP .I have 17k on the car and had it tuned at about 4k. Worth every cent, also have 3.91 gears and Vmax TB . Having the IPF Supercharger installed in about 3 weeks by Matt.

I'm planning on swapping the gears in the near future, and want all the feedback I can get. I'm also gonna go Forced Induction in maybe a year or less, and I might have a nice trick up my sleeve for you V6 FI guys. I'll keep the biggest part of the plan a secret for now, but some of the things I'm trying to do are cams, valves & springs, and I'm even trying to contact shops for custom stoker rotating assemblies...but that's one hell of a venture.

No regrets on the 3.91 gears. 1st gear is pretty short, but the car gets up to speed nicely. Will be interesting with the Supercharger

How is your car with all the bolt ons? Downpipes? Intake manifold? What made the biggest difference for you?

I think the only things I'm missing are the ported intake manifold, and my catless (Hooker) downpipes are being ceramic-coated as we speak. As soon as my downpipes return from the coating shop, I'll be installing them with a magnaflow resonated X-Pipe, and then straight stainless 2.5" pipes back from there. I'll be adding just the J-pipe sections at the end for killing the drone, and I'll decide on extra resonators/mufflers once I hear that set-up. I've for the extendolator spacer on my intake manifold right now, but I'm currently waiting on test results for the 80mm TB and JacFab manifold combination to replace my VMAX Ported TB, so I'll follow up with you soon.

So, did you notice any actual improvement with the tune vs without the tune? Or did you do everything all at once?

Tune was first..Better response, immediately. Everything else was done after tune

Wouldn't a new tune be beneficial at this point?

Im new the tuning idea also and am glad someone finally made a thread for the V6. All the research ive done to date is all SS, 1LE, and Z28. I have a '15 1LT/RS with CAI by CAI and just installed Borla Atak axel back's ( music to my ears). What tuners have you found that work for the V6? or did you go to a local powersports shop and have them do a direct tune??

Gotta question for you Derek. I have the trifecta tune on right now but I'm super interested in going to Overkill tune. Do I have to flash/erase the ECU and then install the Overkill tune or can I just override by installing the overkill tune?

You would just override/flash over the Trifecta. You will love it!
