Certificate of Authenticity

How many of you have NOT received their Certificate of Authenticity? I took delivery of my 2015 Z/28 on November 28th and have yet to receive anything. I have been on the phone today with GM and sent numerous emails. It's not looking good for me.

Wondering if I am the only one or if there are others out there like me. Thanks

I am the first owner, did a title search and the vehicle was NEVER titled prior to my ownership. The dealer I bought from located and did a dealer trade for the car. I think this may be the problem.

Chevrolet Information Center insists that ONLY the Hot Wheels Edition Camaros receive a COA. I forwarded photos of some of COA's from this website to show that this is not true.

Latest response from them is that they are looking further into it but CANNOT promise me a COA. Sounding like the best I can hope for a Letter of Authenticity.

Thanks everyone for your comments.

Not true. My Z started at a dealer in MI and was traded/transferred to a dealer in DE where I bought it. CoA showed up with the dealer in DE information. No idea what an auction process would do to the MSO.

If you did any financing it may have been set to the lien holder, maybe?

I did finance the car. I thought about the COA being forwarded to the lien holder as well. I will have to check into that possibility. Thanks

I got mine today too. Mine took about a week to get. I emailed the person that someone else had posted in a similar thread on this subject. That person worked for GM and emailed me the following day asking me for specific info and confirming my mailing address and a couple of days later it came.

If you are the first person to title the car it should have automatically came to you. Contact your dealer or customer service at GM.

Bought mine new in Nov of 2015 and received the COA soon thereafter. I have no idea if it had been at any other dealerships, but agree w/ 69L48Z27 in that if you were the first one to receive the title it would seem logical that you should receive the COA.

Here is the other thread on the COA. In that case, 2014 owners weren't receiving their COA and GM initially said they would not issue a COA for the 2014 model year. A member named RSZ made contact with GM and subsequently GM changed their stance and issued COAs for 2014s.

My Z was purchased used. No COA but I did get a letter certifying authenticity after contacting GM customer service.
