All 5th Gen camaro specialist your help is greatly NEEDED!!!
I've spent hours on it, took it to 2 different local shops, they couldn't figure it out, I've even spent $200 on a new one assuming it got bent during the removal and reinstall of my engine, and still No luck!
It's the A/C hose. The end that goes from the compressor to the condenser. Im picking the car up from the shop because they couldn't figure it out . Im sure those of you who've done an engine swap or had to pull the motor have an idea on how this thing goes back on. I have the service manual and even it's very vague on the install. Any advice is appreciated. It's too hot for no A/C and don't really have the money to pay the dealership unless it's my only choice. Thanks guys

What specifically can't your shop figure out? It's a fairly large line. Move what's in the way of removing the old line, install the new line and put the stuff back you moved. A\C lines are basically high pressure hoses, pretty simple stuff

They couldn't get the part on where the double hose connects to the compressor. I may re-attempt it on my own. Do you know the procedure and what has to be moved?

I have access to service Information, but it's the same as your service manual. Yes the connections at the compressor can be difficult with double lines, but all it takes is patience. The lines go into the compressor on the very ends and if they are not aligned straight, they will not go in. Small manipulations wether it be twisting or pressing the lines is what eventually will seat the lines into the compressor. If you have any part of the lines fastened before your make the connection at the compressor it makes it infinitely more difficult. Try starting at the compressor with the lines loosely in the location they will go. Once the lines are installed into the compressor then work on the condenser connection. Once those are secure you can finish with the rest of the line.

where the hose goes into the a/c compressor I couldn't get it to angle to where the connection would fit into the compressor

Sorry for the late reply I never got the email notifications. It's currently at the dealership and they just called me this morning telling me that even they haven't been able to get it to fit and they've been working on it since 3pm yesterday! They also broke a trans cooler line in the process which they said they will cover. They said they are going to get another 5th gen camaro from their other store to compare it to. Almost makes me wonder if the engine has to be lifted or something?
Here's a pic I found from the camshaft diy thread on here just to showcase the hose I'm talking about which is circled in read.

Was the line that you bought original OEM? Some aftermarket versions don't fit properly.
