Help me decide on exhaust

Trying to decide on which system I want to get, the MBRP or Corsa. I think the MBRP for the LS3 is 3" and the Corsa is 2.5". Later down the road gonna upgrade the headers. Has anyone upgraded their headers and have either one these 2 systems installed? Where would be the place to get either of these 2 systems for a low price? Thanks peeps.

I have Corsa and I plan an getting some Kooks LT. From what I seen on the site you should be able to get some for $1150 shipped don't pay more then that. You won't need a 3" catback unless you plan on adding a SC or TC.

I ha the same problem, couldn't figure out what exhaust system to go with. Here was my solution. I went to a custom exhaust shop, had a Magnaflow tru "X" pipe welded in and the "H" pipe removed, they also did a muffler delete and welded new custom bent stainless steel pipes. Basically in a nut shell, everything cost $120.00 and sounds AMAZING. Very deep tone, no cabin drone and people around can definatley tell I am coming. It sounds the way the first gens sound. Any after market system especially axel-back is basically a muffler delete system ( Loud Mouth, Magnaflow, Borla etc). I figured $120.00 was easy to swallow if I didn't like it vs 600, 700, $800.00. Also, the way he cut the factory exhaust, it can very easily be reversed if I didn't like it or it gets old to me.

That's what I'm going to do. Visit an exhaust shop... hell, if I can do something for $200 I figure I get 5 tries to get the sound right.

I'm trying to make that call as well....good thing is I still have time because my car won't be here until March or April.

I've had conflicting stories on the 3" vs 2.5". If you talk to the guys at MBRP they say they saw better performance on a stock LS3 using 3". If you talk to others (like SOLO) with 2.5" they'll say they saw better performance with 2.5" vs 3". I don't know who to believe. I use to always think of 3" as a pretty big exhaust and too big for just basic mods but MBRP has dyno sheets show 20 rwhp/24 rwtq. That's pretty damn good in my book.

For me MBRP is #1 at the moment. If I decide to go 2.5" I'll seriously consider SOLO.

BTW: RPM Motorsports quoted me $880 to the door for the T-409 MBRP system. SOLO's system is $750 to the door and also uses T-409.

If anyone want's to beat those prices.....let me know.

Heck no... Its about what you like for sound imo. And I like the way the 3" Flowmaster exhaust sounds.

I'm not buying a SC any time soon. What about upgrading the headers later running either MBRP or Corsa systems? which size 3" or 2.5" will benefit from header upgrade?

went to my local muffler shop and they did 2.5" tubing, x-pipe and magnaflow mufflers and my L99. no afm sound that i hear. it is a nice deep tone. i'm happy with it!!!

i've heard that there have been several tests between the 3" and the 2.5" there were higher gains in hp with the 2.5" on the L99, but not a big difference.
