Just drove a new Camaro LS

Well I finally got to drive a new Camaro LS. It was ABM with Gray Interior, and Automatic.
My impressions:

1. FIT AND FINISH: it looked like it was very well built, the outer panels had very good alignment and the paint had no runs or imperfections in it that I could see. The interior very nicely done, for a entry level car. The seats were very comfortable and I had no problems with visibility, all the panels were aligned correctly with no gaps anywhere that were out of place. The materials of construction looked as good as many other cars I have looked at. Sometimes I wonder if people are too quick to form an opinion of the quality of the materials just based on perception...

2. Driving Impressions: Right off when I pulled off the lot it seemed very strong for a V6. I was up to 65 before I knew it. It was very quiet at cruising speed, the ride was taught but comfortable. I played with the paddle shifters and I liked shifiting it myself. I nothiced that it was showing 20MPG on the DIC. which is impressive here in town. I am sure I could get 29 to 30 hwy on it easily. I was compairing the Camaro to my Sky, which has 170HP and 1000, pounds less weight and I must say the Camaro would flat run away from the Sky.Now I didn't get to check out the road holding of the Camaro, but judging from how it felt on the turns I did feel it will handle better than most cars, Not as well as my Sky but I never have gotten close to using all it's handling to the fullest extent..

All In all on a scale of 1-10, I would give the interior of the Camaro a 8 and the exterior a 10. performance wise for a V6 base model I would give it a 10+.

I can hardly wait till someone buys my Sky so I can place my order again...

yeah I agree. I got to test drive a 1LT with RS before I ordered mine and it felt amazing. It sucks you right in to the interior and you feel like you are a part of the car. feels like you own the road when you are in that thing. Tight as can be. AMAZING!

Well since I am retired and on a fixed budget right now money is a major concern.... 24K or 33K no contest...
If I sell my Sky for what it should sell for then I am over 3/4 way there to the LS.
