Ls2 dampener with vvt?

I read around and decided to go with the ls2 dampener with the c5r timing chain. I have a gpi Ss2 cam, and I kept vvt... my question is can I use the ls2 dampener with vvt? I have a new ls3 dampener and a new ls2 dampener, I just need to know which I should install...
I did some research after seeing that the chain seemed pretty loose, and stumbled across some news that the ls2 dampener is not compatible for reasons effecting the vvt, anybody’s input on this would be appreciated!

The ls2 dampener will work. I did the ss3 vvt and used the ls2 dampener as well as others on here too.

I did it with the LS7 version so LS2 should work:

20k miles and had no issues. Road Raced it too..

LOL yes change it back by dropping the pan....taking off the chain to do it and install a ls3 type tensioner to wait for it to grenade into pieces in the oil pan..... theres a reason....

Lol yeah you’re right. Well the ls2 dampener is on. I’ve changed the ls3 dampener once already, hopefully the new ported heads do me well.
