Plugs?
I just recently got a '68 with a 350. I wanted to change out the plugs as I am unsure the last time they were changed. What brand would you guys suggest to use?

If you are going to get the AC's then try to find the 45 heat range. The lower heat ranges (43) that were stock back in the day are too cold for todays gas. You may get some fouling with the 43's. I had a popping in the exhaust at idle that just would not go away until I put the 45's in there.
You might try experimenting with the Autolites. I find they have a wider heat range and that is good to prevent fouling. They are my preferred brand of plug now. -Mark. |

As Stinger69 said, you will need to go with a little hotter plug than what you used to run. Im running a R45 TSX R45-heat range, TS-tapered seat, X-longer electrode length to reach further down in the combustion chamber. I can run these X-plugs because I have a relief in my pistons. On some engines this isnt possible due to the area of the combustion chamber/and piston clearance. Im running 0.30 over Speed-Pro pistons in a 454, approx. 9.2 compression ratio with 0.039 head gasket crush thickness. With todays fuels and the alcohol content you can run a hotter plug and not have to worry about spark knock or run-on.
