Do Callaway Camaros hold their value etter then the average SS?
Found a nice Callaway on ebay and made a serious offer on it.
I cant find much info on Calloways here on the forums, im assuming they are quite rare? It has the SC572 package which includes a 2.9 Maggie, short shifter, badging interior/exterior, embroidered headrests/floormats and carbon fiber engine covers. Car comes with the calloway documentation and paperwork. Any info on these cars would be much appreciated. Thanks |

I know at the time of them being made new, I always thought they were much over priced as well as Hennessy stuff. Like I felt like I could spend far less than those packages cost and get the same stuff.
But I imagine they’ll be upriced a bit from a regular ss or even a modded ss with similar mods. I’m sure someone who knows more specifics will chime in. If the car was even remotely close to approaching 30k however, I don’t think you could justify getting that car over something like a zl1 |

yep I think your paying for the peace of mind knowing a reputable shop did the install and tuning, but I agree
Here a 2012-2013 zl1 is going for $10-$12k more then what I can get the callaway for , so it seems like a solid purchase |

I mean yea a reputable shop did the work. But either way, ifbits that big of a pr Ex difference may be worth it. Generally modified cars are driven hard, but not always. Drive it and look over it really really well. And go from there

Not saying they didn't/don't, but I didn't know there was a 2.9L maggie. I thought they only made 2.3L ones when Callaway was putting them on our cars. They're up to 2.65L now I think. Whipple makes a 2.9L blower.
Anyway, back to your original question, I think it would have a premium, but I don't think I'd pay double what a standard SS runs for now a days.

Percentage wise, they may not do much better since there were a handful of specialty Camaros, and the Calloway wasn't a "one of" or an only year edition.
They were nice, pricey upgrades when new though. If you like it then you may be able to score a bargain on one.

None. Car isn't coming with a warranty, it's worth whatever the base model is from black book (NADA -5%) for the year in question + $6,000. ...took a quick google search....this one? https://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-Chevro...0AAOSwxblbQ~A7 Yes, worth what they're asking.

I would bet it has some issue , either resprayed or previous damage of some sort. EDIT- I checked the Carfax and it does have a documented accident history noted |

The yellow one has an owner disclosed door ding supposedly.
They sure as shit ain't worth $50k+, not even $25k. Jesus couldn't convince me to purchase a Callaway above base market price. You can buy a used 2SS or Z/28, drive it to a reputable engine builder/tuner, write a check for $15k and have a far better built vehicle with a warranty with change left over.

I have a 13 Dusk, purchased new and paid far less than invoice for what a standard 2SS/RS would have gone for at the time. You can pick up a clean low mileage '13 2SS/RS today for about $22k USD. FBO's in the $24k range and reputable built blower/SC/FI's in the $28k range.
