tvs2300 spacer plate what is it?
I've seen on several builds on this site mention spacer plate under the tvs2300. R%D has been mentioned. what exactly does it do and require in other parts that need to be upgraded if any? thanks

It's made out of phenolic material that is supposed to separate/isolated the blower from the plenum to reduce heat transfer. And it increases the plenum volume. It didn't make much of a difference that I saw other than the intake tube rubbed the hood.

I installed the phenolic spacer when I installed my super charger. I live in AZ and it keeps the SC cooler by isolating it from the engine. The kit came with everything needed to install including the FI spacers.

I haven't purchased a IR temperature gauge but during the summer (110 deg +) and with the air on only raised my engine temp by about 1 to 2 degrees. Not concerned about any HP gains, more for the heat insulator.
