Wet Bounce sheet to wipe off bugs?

So, I've heard that if you wet one of those Bounce dryer sheets, it gets bugs off of your car really easily. I'd assume this is safe for your windshield, but what about the front bumper of the car? Is this safe for the paint? I don't have my clear bra yet, and in the meantime I'm trying to keep bugs off the front of my car.

I use a microfiber towel and some bug and tar remover spray I have that has a citrus base, it works great and smells good too.. It's also good for getting residual glue off when you remove stripes or badges.. or the aweful dealer decals...
I have never heard of the bounce thing...not made for cars so I would probably say not a great idea.

Bounce sheets do not feel very soft. Plus who knows what the chemicals in it will do to the paint.

I don't know. Moose says not to dry your towels and other car cleaning items with a dryer sheet, because whatever's in them can leave residue that will swirl/scratch the paint. I do like skyman does and stay away from dryer sheets!

I've used Bounce sheets for a couple years on different vehicles to remove stubborn bugs off the bumper and never had a problem with scratches or any harm to the paint whatsoever. I've always washed it thoroughly after using them to remove any residue.

NO DONT DO IT! After several uses it will begin to leave very small but noticable scratches on paint and chrome. Used them on my 1990 1500 several times and they were everywhere!

We used them on the front of our RV and they do work to get the bugs off, but I don't think I'd use them on a brand new paint job.

I agree and also have been using for years on multiple vehicles.

I have found that if you keep a spray bottle with a baby shampoo and water mix in it that bugs comes off very easily. Just spray it on the bugs, let it set for a couple of minutes and then wipe off with a microfiber. With the soft clear coats they are using on todays paint jobs I would not try anything potentialy abrasive.

On a side note, if you get any fine swirl marks in the paint your clear bra will cover them up and they will not be noticable... until you remove your clear bra.
