Switching out HID Headlights for LED on RS 2012

Has anyone replaced their factory HID bulbs with LED?
It looks like there are some companies that make direct plug & play as long as you bypass the ballast. Easy? Difficult? Does this mess with any error codes?
Anyone find fanless LEDs?

LEDs aren't going to be as bright as HIDs. The reflectors are tuned for the HID capsules and LEDs are not going to have the light emitting from a small enough point.

I would be interested to see what they say. There are companies that make LED units that look similar to the HID bulb. Headlight Experts is one of the companies. Also companies on aliexpress.com You have to bypass the ballast with a plug and play decoder connected to the light. I've switched over to LED in a `92 Olds, `09 Pontiac, and a `15 Ford. All of them are brighter, whiter, and run cooler at less wattage than the Silverstars I had in them previously. The HID in the `12 Camaro suck. I've tried 4300k, 5000k, 6000k, and all of them are just too dim.
