Help needed with 20x10 & 20x11 Wheels
I recently installed OE Creations 126BB-211223 Z28 style rims (20x10 front with +23mm offset and 20x11 rear with +43mm offset) with Pirelli PZero all-season tires (285/35 ZR20 front and 305/35 ZR20 rear) on my 2011 Camaro 1LT. The installation was done at a chevy dealership including the wheel alignment. After the installation, the ride hasn't been very smooth. The steering wheel has a lot of give in either direction and when driving over bumps/bumpy roads the steering wheel tends to move on its own easily. The guys at the dealership were claiming that the rims and the wheels are oversized for my car because it's the V6 model and that this was the reason for the poor driving. Does anyone have experience with these wheels specs? If so what was your experience? And also does it being a V6 have anything to do with it? Any help would be appreciated.

The wider tires will grab on to more imperfections on the road so you'll notice more bump steer and whatnot. The new wheels and/or tires may be heavier than the factory setup so there will be more momentum in the wheels/tires. The V6 uses hydraulic steering while the V8 uses electric - not sure how much of a difference this makes with what you're noticing but I wouldn't concern yourself with it. Nothing to worry about, you'll just get used to it
I put factory 20x9's on the front for a square setup and definitely notice the same thing when I first put the summers back on (winters are factory 20x8's all around and so are narrowing and lighter).

Yea you will notice that a lot with wider wheels/tires. They have a tendacy to want to follow the ruts in the road where the center crown of the road is, it's called "tramlining", you will get used to it. Also due to the wheels/tires being much wider you will notice a bit more steering wheel play side to side as the tires are wider in the front from which you are used to, so they won't react as quickly as the "skinny' ones you had. And another note, you Camaro does not have electric assist steering, that wasn't until 2014. Nice wheels and enjoy the ride..

Might consider different alignment specs, although the stock castor setting is probably about maxed out. See aggressive street alignment

Ok seems like what you guys are saying kinda confirms what I've been seeing in my google searches lol. Just wanted to check in with the community, I appreciate the responses. Guess it's something I got to get used to. @gtstorey thanks for the recommendation I will look into that

I just got those wheel on mine, but my tires are 275 40 20 Front and 315 35 20 rear. It think it rides fine, no real difference from stock, other it tends to follow the rutts on I95.

Great timing of topic. I’m looking at 20x10s on front and 20x11 on back. Currently running stock SS wheels, which I think are 20x9 up front and 20x10 in back. I recently read the ZL1 setup is 10 in front and 11 in back. Pretty sure the wheel well is the same. Not sure about offset as I am trying to find rims that have both sizes.

Stock on the ZL1 and the 1LE and Z28 are 20x10 front, 20x11 rear with +23 front and +43 rear and will fit on your Camaro..MY FRIENDS 2014 SS with the Z28 wheels.
