A little help from my friends
So here's the dilemma...I have a 2012 RS/SS Vert with 27K on it that's Summit White with Inferno Orange interior and stripes, been babied it's whole life...now the hard part...I have a chance to buy a 2013 ZL1 Vert with 10K on it for about 7K more than what mine is after trade...BUT its yellow..and I'm not sure the yellow will grow on me. So...thoughts, opinions, suggestions, chew me out, whatever you all think. Did any of you buy a car of a certain color...and werent sure of it at first, but now you're happy as hell with it??

You should be able to wrap it any color you want for 3500 4500 if you hate the color that much.

Tough call. I wasn't a big fan of yellow until I started eye-balling the nice rides of Joekono, 0stones0, Lemon Twist and Flying Bananas previous creation. Get some black accents like spoilers, stripes and wheels and look out! BUT are you unhappy with your current set-up? The S/C cars are very, very cool but there are a few little maintenance items that must be addressed like a leaky brick and an isolator upgrade. If you didn't have such a nice ride already this would be easy. I'm a "leave well enough alone" guy myself. Good problem to have.

Such a personal choice, but fwiw - our '10 RS is SIM. Mama liked the silver, I was not a fan. Bought it anyway and gotta admit, when the sun hits and lights it up, it's quite a sight! I'd say get it, it'll grow on you

A modified SS, done right, is better than the ZL1 as the Z has weaknesses that the aftermarket can fix, but the Z is a much better platform to start with. At only 7k you probably can’t exceed the Z, but I know my wife would NEVER approve of yellow although I like it. Yours reminds me of the 69 pace car. Pure class.

Of course I'm bias, but to be honest, I always wanted a yellow Gen5 vert with Rally stripes. YOU also have a "different" setup with the white and orange. I love the "outside the box" setups. I know that might not help you but not one day has gone by that I regretted the yellow. It's one one the best yellows GM has ever made IMHO. Again, I've always loved your setup but if you want to change, a Gen5 Yellow vert will not disappoint. Also, I've seen 0stones0, Lemon Twist and Flying Bananas, I knew I made the right decision. Again, you can't go wrong with a Gen5, ANY COLOR.

Always liked yellow so had to have it. I love it but it does stand out when you make noise. Makes it easy for the law to identify when doing a spirited take off.
