Monster triple disc clutch Knocking?
I purchased a 2010 twin turbo Camaro in December and it has a knock down low if you listen close. It sounds like a hollow metal on metal knock, seems like it happens "every revolution" if that makes sense. Like a rock stuck in a tire. At first I thought maybe a rod knock but I put the car on a lift and you can hear it clear as day in the bellhousing area. It does have a monster triple disc clutch and it's made this noise from day one since I bought it. The cars been on the dyno and its been on plenty of pulls in Mexico and zero issues so far. It almost sounds like a rod knock would but it doesn't have the "speed" that a rod knock would have. Could it just be the clutch? I've never had a triple disc but I've head they can be noisy? My tuner never said anything about it while it was on the dyno so I'm not overly concerned just more curious.

Likely, if the noise changes when you depress the clutch, might be. Also, when clutch in and moving into and out of gear changes the noise, still might be clutch issue. Otherwise, probably something else.

When the clutch is depressed I get a little bit of a "rattle" noise. But the knock is still present. I forgot to mention after the car has been driven and all fluids fully warmed up the "knock" sound seems to go away.

My Monster Triple sounds like a shaking tin can with marbles in it when I depress the clutch. Very annoying, but it holds the power. The last 2 or 3 have been that way for me (the 1st was quiet). With what you're saying, I'd be leaning away from the clutch being the "knock" issue.

I was thinking maybe that, but why it would quiet up after its warm doesn't make sense. I just did an oil change and cut the filter open and didnt see anything alarming as far as excessive bearing material or anything like that. I'll just run it till it breaks or doesn't lol
