Steering Shudder Appears Fixed
I blew the return power steering line at Sebring and ever since I had a bit of a steering shudder. Thanks to J35Y2, when he mentioned that he his car acted like it was having a seizure when it had not been bled enough, vacuum bleeding appears to have fixed the problem.
Prior to vacuum bleeding, I had filled the reservoir, let is sit overnight, topped it off, turned the wheel lock to lock a dozen time (literally 12 times), topped off the reservoir, started the car, turned it a dozen more times running and still had a slight shudder. I was going to use my HF AC vac pump connected to an ARES power steering adapter kit from Amazon to provide the vacuum. I don't recommend the ARES kit as the cap just has a rubber seal that is held on by the vacuum. I had to put a little grease on the seal to help it seal better. I ended up using my Rigid vac to provide the vacuum when the HF pump shit the bed due to the sliding vane inside the pump seizing up. It would not run even after I tried unseizing it a bit. It had been sitting for a couple years since I last replaced the condenser on my truck, but I would think a decent pump could sit for a while without seizing up. I know some guys swear by their stuff these days, but I would rather buy used USA stuff than new Chinese unless I am using it once and throwing it away, which actually was my intention with the AC vac. Rant over, steering shudder appears to be gone although the new OEM pump does seem kind of weak and bit groany at low RPM. Hopefully, this helps people in the future, so they don't have to buy new steering racks when they just needed to vacuum bleed.

That's awesome brother! Glad you got all that sorted out. Carry on... lol. It's always a good thing when you are able to get a bothersome quirk fixed!! Thanks for the update.
