Newbie to the Camaro scene; got myself a 2015 2SS Green Flash, but the lower bumper lip has a chunk missing from it.
I got a replacement piece for a generic 1LE replacement, but it looks like there are some rivets holding it in place. What are the best methods to remove the existing broken lip and what should I use to replace the rivets I remove? Go with OEM style rivets, or use something like a barrel nut and bolt? |

Only the bottom of the lip has rivets holding it. The rest of the splitter hooks onto the plastic piece riveted into the bumper.

Looking at the existing one I can’t quite see how it hooks onto that bracket… the passenger side looks like it just butts up against it, but maybe I’m not looking at it right. I’ll have to tear into a bit. What you recommend for the rivets? Remove and replace with similar (plastic or Al) or just do a barrel nut or something like that? |

Both the splitter and riveted bracket have little hooks on them in places. They butt up against each other. I dont have a picture of it but it's pretty simplistic design. They just clip together basically.
I used ACS composites rivet kit.
