how to get to fog lights?
I plan on changing the fog lights to led lights and I was wondering if there is a way to get to them without removing the bumper?
Thanks |

just remove the three screws on the inner front fenders and peel the plastic back, you can get to it that way.
you can also pop out the fog light bezels and the fog lights themselves. both are easy to do |

You can get to them without removing the three screws on the plastic wheel wells by jacking the car up and turn the wheel. Its a little awkward though so it best to remove the three screws, jack the car up and turn the wheel.

IDK...I found it kind of a PITA to get to the fog lights when I changed them out to LED. Much harder than everyone made it out to be for me.
I first tried to jack it up and come from underneath the car w/o removing the bumper or anything. I got them off but trying ot put the new ones in sucked. I had a hard time getting my arm up to them especially on the drivers side because the windshield wiper fluid bottle was in the way. There isn't enough slack in the wiring for it to hang down where you can easily plug it in. My suggestion would be to remove the fog light housing. Even that's not necessarily easy. There are like 5 arrow head looking pieces of plastic that hold the black outter fog light ring behind the bumper. You'll have to squeeze in on the arrow head and kinda push it forward. Three of them are no big deal to get to because you can see them....the other two which are on the top and closest to the fender are harder because you have to do it by feel or mirror or something. Once you have the outer ring off the actually fog light is held in by 3 pieces of push in/out plastic that are easy enough. Trust me...if you're changing the fog lights, take the time to get the fog light assembly out. Once it's out changing the bulb is easy. If not....you'll be fighting trying to line up the fog light clips that hold it into place.

Ok thanks for the details. One question...in order to remove the bezels I need to take the 3 screws outfrom behind the fender wheel well anyway to get behind them right?

If you can raise the front end of your car and your hands aren't too big, it's pretty easy to reach up in there from under the car. I did it without much trouble. I did not have to remove the screws from the wheel wells.

I know there not going to be as bright as my HID headlights but are they bright enough to almost match? Or should I just go with HID fog lights?

They're pretty bright and they match very good. I will try and post some pictures later. I'm on my iPhone so I can't do it now.
