Honest question for discussion...

Did UCF get screwed out of at least a sliver of hope to go to the playoffs?

VERY good question. Unfortunately that bowl game was not a good measurement of their final true and top potential. Auburn was not at their best and their luck had ran out.

Furthermore I think the committee got it right and looking at their schedule and their opponents schedules I’m fairly certain they would have been absolutely slaughtered by any three of the top five teams and beat hands down by the other two.

I don't disagree that UCF would've been destroyed by any of the top 5 teams.

That being said, I think the school's, team's, and Scott Frost's frustration is warranted. I mean at least the AP/Coaches Polls got them into the top 10, barely, but they're there. The committee on the other hand seemed to go out of their way to make sure they knew their place as a G5 school.

Looking at reactions from UCF people, they're sad Frost is leaving but at the same time they don't blame him one bit. He could coach them to another undefeated season but they'd still be relegated to the teens in the CFP rankings.

Which brings up the question if the program at UCF is so great and they have such a bright future, why’d Frost bail after a “championship” season?

I would leave #48 in Atlanta if I were on the coaching staff.

I agree!!! I'm sure he's in for a very rude awakening once back in T'town!! Look for him to be leaving Bama before next season!!!
