Hey, what's up guys. I am new to the forum and thinking about purchasing a l99 Maro.

Hey guys, like the title says I am interested in buying a l99 Camaro. I don't plan on doing to much modding past cai, Dyno tune, cat-back and throttle body. I am hoping this will get me to around 370 rwhp, do you guys think that is possible? Also I am coming from a 08 g35xs so this should be a big improvement. I can't wait to get into another v8 car I really miss my 04 V1.

Welcome. Rule#1 - Don't call it a 'Maro'
Seriously though, you'll likely need headers to get to those numbers.

Yeah, saying Maro is cringe worthy, my bad lol. I wish I could get a nice set of lts, but I will never be able to pass inspection in liberal Assachusetts. I'm also considering an auto coyote, but I'm a gm guy and can't imagine driving a Ford. I am just looking for a fun car I can thrash around in the summer. I wish I could get a stick, but a drunk driver hit me when I had my cts-v and my left knee is toast. What numbers do you think I will see with those mods, if you don't mind answering.

Also stay away from “Cammy”. That one’s worse than maro. “I’m not doing much modding” is funny though. Welcome and good luck!

Haha, I will guys, no more abbreviated names I promise. And as far as not doing much modding all depends on my pockets. I have 27k saved up to buy the car so I figure 22k on the the car and 5 on mods. Then when I save up more it's all gonna go to mods good willing lol. I would love to get the car to around 600rwhp like, but that takes time and patience. Now I got plenty of time, but patience on the other hand not sommuch

Wish the autos came with the ls3, but it is what it is I guess. I know they have conversion kits though which I might look into if it's worth it.

I have heard a tune wakes l99 the hell up, is this true. Also when I get my tune i will have a cai ported tb and cat-back so I'm hoping it will be like night and day. I plan on going to slowhawk performance for the tune which I have heard great things about, but will the Dyno tune they give me also tune the tranny, because I have heard the A6's become awesome when tuned which is what I want I can't stand slush boxes that ruin the fun of the car.

Pretty sure there are a lot of guys in MA New England club that have long tubes and pass emissions. Check out the New England section of Camaro 5! We have lots of activities come spring.

I drove some 707 HP thing the other day (a Jesus Chrysler or something) and dang near soiled meself. I’m thinking about cutting the coil wires to two cylinders on my L99 and putting in a bed pan.
