Love the flag in the background.

Are you planning to have the headliner reinstalled?

No, I decided to keep her gutted. We are going to fill in any spot weld holes, remove excess seam sealer, and paint everything.

Fabricated rear firewall. The fuel cell came in, and we had it SFI certified. We also had to order the aeromotive eliminator fuel pump.

It's going to be very tight, scheduling wise on getting her back together, tuned and ready to run a pass at camaro fest. If we do finish her, the first time driving her with this setup will be at camaro fest.

Ordered the AEM CD-7 digital race display and an aluminum dash; was going to run a gutted oem dash; however, it was all scratched up in the process of removing it for the cage/chassis work.

Dropped the rear for the gear swap and installing the lakewood drag shocks. Also putting in the beefed up 6L50E. Well the rear is dropped sending her off for paint; interior and cage. Then onto the diablo shifter, dash, AEM digital display, installing the fuel pump and fuel pump regulator, put the interior back together, need to get the door panel deletes working with the locks and power window switches. Fingers crossed the ECU is able to handle everything and tuning is a breeze. Also have the hurst line lock that needs to be hooked up and dropping in the polycarbonate windshields. No time for a few projects up my sleeve, will have to wait till after camaro fest. If it looks like we won't make it, then we will slow down and work on the projects.

If anyone is interested in chassis and cage work, Patrick in Florida is up to the task. Furthermore, this winter we will be making tubular cradles, if anyone is interested you can contact me here or over Instagram, @orange_maro_

We finally have the car up and running, installed the lakewood drag shocks, 3.90 gear swap and installed a LPW diff cover, put in the beefed up 6L50E with custom oil pan, and finished the fuel cell. Been a roller for too long.

However, after long hours this past week, we found out the FX1 Pro Racing seats do not fit, the door bar latch will not close all the way. We are going to try to fabricate something to raise the bracket a tad to see if we get clearance. If this works, we will transport the car up to camaro fest tomorrow. Overall time was not managed well and we had unexpected hurdles preventing us from getting as much done by this time period.

So far its a disappointment, we have to redo most of the cage, since the chassis and cage builder took so long, we were unable to tune, the boost gauge is not setup, the meth failsafe gauge is not setup, we are only making 6lbs of boost, data-logging will not have the results we need to get back to where I was before we dropped the cage off. We really needed another 3-5 days to be able to tune the car and have everything wired up.

Great meeting you and your wife also. We somehow pulled off a miracle, and took home the win in V6 Unlimited with an 11.53 @ 121.6 against racergirl. Not what we expected; however, with all the hurdles, losing 3rd gear and having nothing wired up, ill take it.
