I just bought a set of RE-71R's in 285/35/20 from Tirerack last week. They are still in stock and have a FREE shipping offer on them, too.

And, another $100 off, only 957.00 if you apply for and use the Goodyear credit card through Tirerack.

The Goodyear Supercar 3 is a really sticky tire, but will only last about 6000 miles.

Can you give a comparison vs the MPSS??
Do you have to get the speedo recalibrated since the tire height is different than the G2s/OEM tire size?

Personally, I wouldn't worry about a small difference in speedo readings. But if if you need it to be very precise, I suppose you would need to get it recalibrated.

Guess I should have ignored the "available 8/3/18" note on Tirerack's website. I didn't go any farther when I saw that and started calling around until I found a set. lol

I find that they update inventory so often that you need to check back every day or so while you are actively tire shopping.

Much better grip and corning than the MPSS, no speedo no changed. Have not had any issues. Running 285/35/20 all the way around

Yes, I've had them for a while now. Took advantage of that crazy cheap Amazon deal (probably a pricing glitch from the seller).
Great street tire. More grip when cold (they don't need to warm up like the G2) and fantastic in the rain. They're ultimately not as grippy as the G2's were at their prime, but plenty of grip for the street. They feel a little bit more squishy, so slightly more comfy. I won't run them on the track unless it's a wet day, because I don't want to trash them and I think they would probably wear poorly at a hot track day. I can't say for certain as I haven't tracked them but I can tell you even on a spirited run through some twisties on a hot day here in Austin, they can get a little greasy - that's what makes me not want to trash them at the track. Basically it seems/feels like to me the optimal operating temperature range isn't ideal for roadcourse in the summer. I'm picky about tires, I'd rather pay more to get grippier tires that last for less time than save. I almost always get more grippy than OEM on my vehicles. With that said, I'm happy with the MPS4S. If another deal came along when the time comes, I would buy them again. Otherwise back to one of the other usual extreme summer choices.

I just got a set for mine about a month ago. I had the BFG all seasons on from the previous owner. They got the job done, but weren't great performers. So far, I only have one autocross on them and the difference is NIGHT AND DAY on grip. I'll be running them at PittRace's road coarse this weekend. I'm excited to see how they do there.
