Did cradle bushing inserts and trailing arms.

So I have a 15 camaro 1le with a btr cam, headers and intake. Had some wheel hop and decided to do the cradle bushing inserts and bmr trailing arms to minimize it. Now I think its actually worse. I get a loud bang when shifting gears like the whole cradle is moving but everything is tight. Any ideas? Should I have gone with the full bushings not the inserts?

That's very strange indeed. The ZL1/1LE/Z28 cradle bushings are much better than the SS/V6 stuff to begin with, but inserts should still be an improvement. Stuff banging around definitely points to something still being loose - neither of those mods should cause banging.

there are 3 items you need to get rid of Wheel Hop - Trailing Arms, Toe Rods & Cradle Bushings. to the OP, the Full Bushings are probably what you need

I'm looking to do them myself soon and I found this. The heat and jack method seems the easiest, post 9 is a video. Good info in this thread.

Couple good videos on YouTube for the bushings. Did you remove the exhaust when you did your work?

As far as the bang goes I'm not sure what's causing it. Maybe a single hop on the tires. Just seems loose in the back now.

They are. We share some ZL1 things and have upgraded bushings over a standard SS.

I did pfadt solid subframe bushings, pfadt trailing arms and pfadt toe links. Only time I get that one hard bang is on the strip doing a 1st to 2nd shift. It's slop in the driveline and shocking it getting back into power.

You might want to go over everything again because I would never describe the back end of my car as loose. Those mods made a huge improvement over stock.

I installed inserts many years ago and it did nothing but improve the stability. I rarely have wheel hop now.

Did you use new bolts? Are they torqued correctly?
